Pujols Gets Viscious

If you haven’t seen the highlights from last nights Cardinals-Padres game you got to check them out. In the third inning Albert Pujols, by himself, managed to take out the Padres pitcher and catcher. He started out with a line drive back at the pitcher Chris Young that broke his nose, then followed that up a bit later by sliding into home and spraining the catchers ankle.

No he didn’t do it on purpose, both plays were totally clean, I just thought it was a catchy title. As soon as someone gets the video posted up on Youtube I will update this post. Until then, at least as of this writing, the clip can be seen on ESPNs homepage.

UPDATE: Ok, here is video of both injuries.

UPDATE: Well dern it. Youtube had to take the video down due to a copyright violation claim by MLB. Tools. Oh well, you can still see the footage on ESPN right here.

Oh, the Cards won the game by the way, 11-3 with Skip Schumaker leading the way going 4 for 5 at the plate with 2 runs scored. Rick Ankiel added a pinch hit Home Run in the 8th and Ryan Ludwick added to his team leading RBI count bringing his total up to 35.

Too bad “kills” aren’t a category in fantasy baseball. 😆
