My tax dollars, killing babies

It’s so good to know that after Obama signs one of his many Executive Orders today my hard earned tax money will be going to other countries to support groups that preach abortion.

Honestly, I don’t have much more to say about this.  Blah, blah, blah – these “health organizations” around the world save lives and promote womens health – blah, blah, blah.  You can do that without advocating murder.

My tax dollars need to stay in America where they are really needed.  I’m so glad Obama is going to dump more useless money on our economy, money we don’t have to throw around, and then send tax money that could be used to repay that new debt overseas instead.

Gotta love the library

I just have to say real quick that my local library is going to save my life for this class I am taking.

I am writing my first paper on Electronic Health Documents, a huge Information Systems change that is ongoing in the health industry, and one that Obama is pushing hard to get nationalized, one of the few ideas he has supported that I agree with him on.  (I threw in that little dig because my lovely wife suggested the topic based on the fact that EHD’s are currently in the news because he — Ooops, better capitalized that…..  there we go, don’t want to offend the messiah’s followers —  because He is pushing them, but I digress…)

Unfortunately, information on the health industry tends to be hard to come by, especially info that has been published in the last six months, which is a requirement for all of our sources.

The library though, is subscribed to a large, let me repeat, Large number of journals. In the last hour of searching I have already found several articles from different journals that are going to be lovely sources for this first paper. Most of the journals I have found charge fees for individual articles online that are high enough that I can’t imagine the cost of a subscription, but I don’t have to.

Support your local library!! You never know when they are going to be supporting you!

Don’t worry…

Conservatives keep your heads up. I don’t have anything pressing to say here but I wanted to remind us of the words of Christ (I know, I know, not all conservatives are necessarily Christians, but this is really just good advice to everyone).

Matthew 6:25-34 (NIV)

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

Take that as you will, but enjoy the sentiment set to music here in the original music video. I loved this song as a kid when it was new, and I still do.

The upside…

Ok, I am pretty much winding down on election stuff and prepping for the next four years of “I told ya so.”

But before I wrap up talk about this past election I wanted to point out the bright side of things that us conservatives should be seeing.

We all know, Barak Obama is a Socialist disguised as a Democrat. What I think we lost sight of over the last several months though, is that John McCain is a Democrat disguised as a Republican.

Despite what some who know me may think, I never have been a real McCain fan. He got my vote because I didn’t want Obama to win. About half of the people who voted for McCain did so because they didn’t want Obama to win.

I can’t remember if I actually voted in the primaries, but I wanted Huckabee to be the nominee. Unfortunately, the conservative Republican vote got split between Huckabee and Romney, and McCain slithered into the win.

Now here is the bright side of Obama’s win. If McCain had won, we conservatives would have never been able to get a real conservative in office after he was out. With the extreme leftist that the country picked heading to Washington though, it greatly improves our chance of a conservative having a shot next time. Assuming of course we can find a conservative we can agree on.

So perk up all my brother and sister conservatives out there. The next four years may actually not be as bad as we have feared. After all, in Obamas own words, “The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term…”

On a side note, did anyone who watched the speech notice some of the shocked looks on some faces in the crowd when he said he wasn’t going to be able to do everything he promised, and that everyone was going to have to work hard and sacrifice.

I wish I could have seen this woman’s reaction,

Bet she was shocked to hear she was still going to have to work to put gas in her car and pay her mortgage.

Sorry, got off topic. Anyway, just remember, heads up, and lets get focused. Less than two years now until we have a shot to oust some of the retarded Democrats we have running this country from congress.

Call it a light in the darkness…

The country as a whole may have made a mistake in my humble opinion, the people of western Pennsylvania may have shown themselves to be the idiot rednecks their senator believes they are, but at least there was one little upside. The people of Minnesota were smart enough to reelect their incumbent republican senator and keep Al Franken out.

If you don’t know who Al Franken is you should look him up some time. He makes Obama look like a moderate he is so liberal. Thank God this morning that he isn’t going to Washington to impact our policies there in any way.

Oh my….

America what have you done???

All Hail Obama!!

In anticipation of the landslide victory Obama’s propaganda machine has been predicting for the last 6 months, I give you a little diddy Glenn Beck introduced us to.

I don’t really agree with sticking the Nazi images in there, but it’s funny anyway.
