Barak has 4 years to save the world!!!

Paul over at Conservative Principles found this little gem and I just had to share.

From Conservative Principles:

Only Four Years Left to Save Environmentalism

Catch this load of BS from James Hansen via climate-resistance.org:

Barack Obama has only four years to save the world. That is the stark assessment of Nasa scientist and leading climate expert Jim Hansen who last week warned only urgent action by the new president could halt the devastating climate change that now threatens Earth. Crucially, that action will have to be taken within Obama’s first administration, he added.
The guys name is Jim Hansen?  I would have though it was Jim Henson and that this was actually a quote from Kermit the Frog on the Muppet News Flash.

Muppet News Flash

Just got this from a friend and had to share.

Here is a muppet news flash……..

President Obama, some labeled the Messiah, has been in office just over 24 hours and the recession continues. But that didn’t stop the President from having the most expensive inauguration in history at just over 160 million dollars. When questioned about how much it is costing the government, President Obama just smiled and said, “The government will get that money back from the taxpayers.” Then President Obama walked across the water of the Washington Memorial pool. In this reporters eyes HE is truly the Savior…..back to you in the muppet studios……

Gotta love the library

I just have to say real quick that my local library is going to save my life for this class I am taking.

I am writing my first paper on Electronic Health Documents, a huge Information Systems change that is ongoing in the health industry, and one that Obama is pushing hard to get nationalized, one of the few ideas he has supported that I agree with him on.  (I threw in that little dig because my lovely wife suggested the topic based on the fact that EHD’s are currently in the news because he — Ooops, better capitalized that…..  there we go, don’t want to offend the messiah’s followers —  because He is pushing them, but I digress…)

Unfortunately, information on the health industry tends to be hard to come by, especially info that has been published in the last six months, which is a requirement for all of our sources.

The library though, is subscribed to a large, let me repeat, Large number of journals. In the last hour of searching I have already found several articles from different journals that are going to be lovely sources for this first paper. Most of the journals I have found charge fees for individual articles online that are high enough that I can’t imagine the cost of a subscription, but I don’t have to.

Support your local library!! You never know when they are going to be supporting you!

The upside…

Ok, I am pretty much winding down on election stuff and prepping for the next four years of “I told ya so.”

But before I wrap up talk about this past election I wanted to point out the bright side of things that us conservatives should be seeing.

We all know, Barak Obama is a Socialist disguised as a Democrat. What I think we lost sight of over the last several months though, is that John McCain is a Democrat disguised as a Republican.

Despite what some who know me may think, I never have been a real McCain fan. He got my vote because I didn’t want Obama to win. About half of the people who voted for McCain did so because they didn’t want Obama to win.

I can’t remember if I actually voted in the primaries, but I wanted Huckabee to be the nominee. Unfortunately, the conservative Republican vote got split between Huckabee and Romney, and McCain slithered into the win.

Now here is the bright side of Obama’s win. If McCain had won, we conservatives would have never been able to get a real conservative in office after he was out. With the extreme leftist that the country picked heading to Washington though, it greatly improves our chance of a conservative having a shot next time. Assuming of course we can find a conservative we can agree on.

So perk up all my brother and sister conservatives out there. The next four years may actually not be as bad as we have feared. After all, in Obamas own words, “The road ahead will be long. Our climb will be steep. We may not get there in one year or even one term…”

On a side note, did anyone who watched the speech notice some of the shocked looks on some faces in the crowd when he said he wasn’t going to be able to do everything he promised, and that everyone was going to have to work hard and sacrifice.

I wish I could have seen this woman’s reaction,

Bet she was shocked to hear she was still going to have to work to put gas in her car and pay her mortgage.

Sorry, got off topic. Anyway, just remember, heads up, and lets get focused. Less than two years now until we have a shot to oust some of the retarded Democrats we have running this country from congress.

All Hail Obama!!

In anticipation of the landslide victory Obama’s propaganda machine has been predicting for the last 6 months, I give you a little diddy Glenn Beck introduced us to.

I don’t really agree with sticking the Nazi images in there, but it’s funny anyway.

Time to wake up…

I don’t care who you are or where you are or what your life is like, becasue it really doesn’t matter. You have to wake up and smell the roses. You may not like McCain for one reason or another but you have to be able to admit he is not as dangerous for the future of this country as the virtual unknown Barak Obama is. Pick an issue, then look through the things Obama himself has said about it.

Abortion:

Speaking of his daughters, “If they make a mistake, I don’t want them punished with a baby,” Obama said.

“The first thing I’d do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act. That’s the first thing that I’d do.” — Senator Barack Obama

If you don’t know what it is the Freedom of Choice act is a bill that would eliminate all restrictions on abortions, including late term abortions. It would also eliminate protections for doctors and hospitals that refuse to perform abortions for any reason. This would have the biggest impact on religiously-based hospitals or clinics that refuse. It would also force the repeal of the Hyde Amendment, which restricts the use of Federal funding for abortions.

Constitution:

Speaking of the Warren Court here, the Supreme Court group of justices that was the most liberal group we have ever had sit the bench,

“It didn’t break free from the essential constraints that were placed by the founding fathers in the Constitution, at least as it’s been interpreted and Warren interpreted it in the same way that generally is a charter of negative liberties. ”

So the Constitution is a document of restrictions. Not freedoms we have in this country, restrictions.

He goes on to say, “[The Constitution] Says what the federal government can’t do to you but it doesn’t say what the federal government or the state government must do on your behalf.”

As far as what I learned from history, “Ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country.”

Our government owes us nothing. Our government gives us freedom. It gives us free will. It gives us the right to be happy and to do whatever we want with our lives. If we are disabled it provides us with the means to survive. But beyond that, as human beings, it is our own job to live our lives and not be beholden to the government of this or any other country to hand us success. Success is something you earn. It is not a right you have in this life. We have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. We have to get over this attitude of entitlement we have developed in this country.

Economy:

Economically, Barak Obama hates successful people. I know, that’s my view of his policies. But lets see what he said himself just four days ago, that will will be able to “turn the page on policies that put greed and irresponsibility on Wall Street before the hard work and sacrifice.” See, despite the fact that he has made millions through the hard work of people on Wall Street he would rather blame them for being successful, and call it greed and irresponsibility. Sure, there are Enron types that have illegally hit it big, but there are thousands of hard working traders up there that do nothing wrong on a daily basis that he is looking to punish for no reason other than they are successful. They spend 10-12 hours a day or more working hard. Sacrificing time with their families to give themselves a better life. And Barak Obama thinks they should pay for it. Pay for it by sacrificing their hard earned money and giving it to people who are less motivated, less educated, less willing to work hard for it, less willing to sacrifice to succeed.

His desire to “spread the wealth around” will do nothing but perpetuate the do nothing lazy attitudes of millions of people in this country. He seems to think that taking money from successful people and giving it to people who have not been as successful will motivate them to get out and do something to succeed financially in life. But where is the motivation? If I am getting a free handout from the government for being unsuccessful, why would I want to succeed, just to have the fruits of my labors taken from me and given to someone else. I can stay right here and keep getting money I haven’t earned.

We saw how successful Bush’s $600 per person stimulus worked this year. It didn’t. Obama thinks doing this on a yearly basis will cause people to rise up and improve themselves. Its a pipe dream that just isn’t going to happen.

Energy:

This is as straightforward as it gets. No spin at all. Straight from the horse’s mouth: “Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket.”

I don’t even need to explain that one.

On building new power plants, with the Clean Coal that he has supposedly said he supports: “So, if somebody wants to build a coal plant, they can — it’s just that it will bankrupt them, because they are going to be charged a huge sum for all that greenhouse gas that’s being emitted.”

I love how the multi-millionaire Obama has no problem admitting that if elected he is going to cause my energy prices to go through the roof. It’s bad enough the my gas company recently raised by budget billing payment from $60 to $102 in anticipation of gas prices this winter. I can’t wait to see what my electric company raises my rate to if Obama wins tomorrow.

Health Care:

The only thing I can say here, because I don’t agree with either candidates health care plans is this old joke.

Two old men break their hips. They both go to see their doctors and get hip replacement surgeries scheduled. One old man gets his surgery the next day. The other has to wait 6 week to get it done.

What’s the difference?

The old man who was forced to wait was a 75 year old man in Canada’s national health care system. The other old man is his 15 year old Golden Retriever.

Socialized, nationalized health care doesn’t work. End of story.

Military:

We all know Obama’s opinion of our military, that we are just “just air-raiding villages and killing civilians.” We also know that he wants to cut defense spending in huge ways. Up to 25% is what Barnk Frank is looking for stating, “We don’t need all these fancy new weapons.”

That’s especially scary to me considering I work for an aerospace company that produces advanced weapons for the military. Specifically the bombs we are currently dropping on insurgents in Afghanistan and Iraq.

Given Obama’s intention to raise corporate taxes, and this Democratic plan to cut defense spending, I do honestly worry about my job if this man gets elected. Especially given the fact that I am the new guy on the team, the least experienced, and likely, the first on my team to go in the event of a company layoff.

I know McCain isn’t perfect. He knows he isn’t perfect. (I don’t think Obama can say the same of himself honestly, after all, Louis Farrakhan anointed him the Messiah.) But he is not nearly the threat that Obama is. With the Democrats in control of Congress for at least the next two years and possibly in control of the Senate after this election, we just can’t let this man have power unchecked.

Halloween at the Obama’s

Hah, funny stuff here.
